JCPosse

Well, the past week has been quite an eventful way to wrap up the last couple months.

Winter semester ended with my last finals on Tuesday. Class wise, this semester hasn't been the miracle semester I had in the fall and my final exams followed suit. I guess the verdict will come in the next couple days. What really occupied the majority of my time last week was our final preparations for the American Advertising Federation (AAF) competition that I just got back from in Denver. I joined in, midstream, on a campaign for JCP the first week of March and have been doing whatever I could to help since. We submitted our 'book' April 1st and since then, everything we did focussed on getting ready for our presentation. At first, I though I was done after the book was submitted but just kinda hung around, keeping up with what was going on. Next thing I knew, I was part of the group of 'tag-alongs' going to Denver with the presenters.

It has been one of my favorite college experiences. Bitter-sweet though. I have made amazing new friends, solidified my desire to study and do advertising, lost terribly in my first competition, and realized just how wonderful some of my professors are. Our group of eight students and two teachers, spent countless hours this last week giving our best for the campaign and our presentation. We thought we did better than the results said we did but really, now, our 'performance' was not the most important thing about this trip. Yep. Thank you friends-including teachers-for making this experience as enjoyable as it was. I can't wait to keep working with you.
